Summer fundraising challenge

Could you fundraise for us over the summer holidays? As we approach the last few months of the All Aboard campaign, we'd love your help to boost our fundraising total.

Below you'll find some ideas, and a step by step guide to fundraising. Choose one of the below, or do your own thing - we'd love to see what you come up with!

All aboard for our summer fundraising challenge

Summer is here, and it's the last stop before we close our All Aboard campaign in October - so we're asking children to hop on board for one final push.

Below, we've picked some easy, fun challenges that children can take on over the holidays, with a bit of sponsorship help from family and friends. Pick one (or a few!) or choose your own, get sponsored, and every pound brings us closer to reaching our October finish line.

How it works:

Choose a challenge from the list below (or choose a challenge of your own)
Set up a JustGiving page using our step-by-step guide, or download our paper sponsorship form instead
Complete your challenge over the summer
Collect your sponsorship money and hand it in at the school office, or let it come through JustGiving automatically
Drop us an email - we'd love to know what you've been up to! Send details to allaboard@fundmayfield.com

Paper sponsorship forms are also available from the school office.

Whether they raise £5 or £50, all the money raised will go directly to the All Aboard campaign and will get us ever-closer to our target.

challenge ideas

Choose one of the below, or choose your own challenge - there's no right or wrong and we'd love to see your creative ideas!

Steps challenge - Count your steps for a week (or the whole summer!) and get sponsored per 1,000 steps

Reading challenge - Read as many books as you can over the holidays and get sponsored for each book you finish

Bake sale - Bake and sell treats from your garden or street stall with all proceeds to the campaign

Skipping challenge - Skip rope for a set time each day, sponsored per minute or per day completed

Help out - Offer to clean a neighbour's car or mow their lawn - charge a small fee and gift it to the school

Grow & give - Grow veg or flowers over the summer and sell your produce at a stall

Cargo swap - Have a clear-out, then sell or swap unwanted toys, clothes or books for donations

Silent challenge - A sponsored hour of silence - surprisingly hard (and hilarious) for chatty kids!

Commit to learning - Could you promise to do 5 minutes of DuoLingo a day? Or practice the piano? Or master a cartwheel? Committing to learning a new skill is a brilliant way to test yourself and you could be sponsored for doing it too

Be the teacher - Have you got a skill you could pass on? Why not teach it to someone else for a small fee?

After summer

At the start of the next school year, you can bring in your hard-earned sponsorship money to the school office. Just make sure it's marked for the attention of the PTA, and drop us a message to let us know it's coming. JustGiving donations will come to us automatically.
