We're on a mission to create more of our very own Mayfield bunting!
We've already got a good haul of flags from when we ran this project a couple of years ago, but with a lot of new people in the school and the feeling that you can never have too much bunting, we thought it was a great chance to do this again.
When you look at the bunting we have, it's such a lovely mix - some quite traditional, others a bit more out-there with drawings and paintings by Mayfield children. All of them are fabulous and are as unique and interesting as our Mayfield community.
We're now giving each child two blank flags to decorate over the half term break - how will you decorate yours?
How to decorate your bunting flags:
Get creative and use fabric pens, tie-dye or patchwork - anything that will withstand a bit of rain or the occasional wash
We'd love a mix of colours and designs, so let your imagination run riot!
Bring your completed flags to the school office after half term and we'll sew them together
Get ready to find your flag at our range of summer events 🥰
And if you'd like to make more, please download the guide and get making! You can use whatever fabric you have at home (non-stretchy works best) - think old clothes, tea towels or bedding, even your dad's old shirt.
Completed flags can be returned to the office. We can't wait to see what you create!
