Where: Mayfield school grounds
We can't wait to see you all at the Mayfield Summer Fair on Friday 26th June - it's our biggest fundraiser of the year and a brilliant chance to meet and mingle with other Mayfield families, friends and staff. The kids love it too!
The fair is a real community affair, and at the heart of it are the fantastic people who give up a little of their time to help make the day run smoothly. If you can volunteer for even just an hour on the day, it makes an enormous difference, and we'd love to have you on the team! No experience needed, just a friendly face and a willingness to muck in - just follow the link to sign up, or drop us an email at contact@fundmayfield.com.
Of course, there are other brilliant ways to get involved too. Donating a prize for our raffle hampers, dropping off a couple of pre-loved teddies for the Teddy Tombola, or selling a book of raffle tickets to friends and family - it all helps us raise funds and adds to the magic of the day.
So get stuck in, donate your stuff and join us on the day - let's make this a fair to remember! See you there! ♥️
🏰 Bouncy Castles (kindly lent to us by Playtime After-school Club, AKA Ben's Club - thank you Ben!)
🎈 Inflatables including a football goal and sumo suits (a huge thank you to Limitless Holiday Camps who are supplying and running the inflatables zone for us, with all the proceeds supporting our fundraising. Limitless run holiday camps at Mayfield during the summer holidays and beyond, and they'd love to see your kids there!)

There will be Bangladeshi snacks & sweets from group of wonderful Mayfield parents
Mr V's Ice cream van will be squeezing through the gates and be ready to take your orders on the KS1 playground
We'll be selling Krispy Kreme doughnuts and fruit, alongside hot and soft drinks to keep you refreshed (with free refills on squash - just bring your cup back and we'll fill it up)
Plus we'll be running a bar selling grown up drinks too (including alcohol free options)
The Summer Fair can’t happen without your help! Whether it’s giving half an hour on a stall, watching kids so others can pitch in, donating books or teddies, or gifting a box of chocolates for the raffle - every little bit helps. It means more fun for the kids and more funds for the school!
Could you spare just 30 minutes to help us set up, run a stall, or tidy up after the fair?
Every extra pair of hands makes a big difference – helping things run smoothly, keeping queues short, and making sure we can offer as many fun activities as possible.
Sign up with a friend for double the fun - you can choose which stall or area of the fair you'll be on, so you can do something that works well for your kids, or sign up with a friend to keep the chat flowing while you help out!
Thank you!
We’re running our pay by token system again at this year’s Summer Fair – it's been a big hit in previous years, giving kids more independence, helping to reduce queues, and meaning you're not fishing around for 50ps on the morning of the event.
Advance collection available in June!
The token stall on the day can get pretty busy. So you can now buy and collect your tokens in advance:
Buy online via Zeffy
Collect (or buy) after school on Tuesdays in the school library and on some Fridays by the Y2 classrooms (keep an eye on the school newsletter for Friday updates)
All stalls and activities will accept tokens, except the ice cream van. Mrs Aggarwal and the Bandgladeshi snack stall would prefer cash but will take tokens if necessary.
Cash will be accepted at all stalls and activities, but we do kindly ask for you to use small change wherever possible - £20 notes eat up all our change very quickly!
Grab your tokens early and skip the queues!
Your child will be sent home with two booklets of raffle tickets (10 tickets in total). Please try to sell these tickets to your family and friends (or buy them yourselves!) - each ticket costs just £1 and we have some really awesome prizes lined up this year!
Need more tickets? Extra booklets can be picked up from the school office.
Please return the ticket stubs and money, plus any unsold tickets, to the school office by Wednesday 24 June.
We have been lucky enough to have been donated a fantastic range of prizes and we're so grateful to those local businesses who have supported the school by donating a prize. Please take a moment to look through the list and please consider using these fantastic businesses as a way to say thank you!
To get our teddy tombola and book sale stalls off the ground, we're looking for donations of quality pre-loved soft toys and books. Plus the Year 5 classes are running a second-hand toy stall, so please donate pre-loved toys that another child would enjoy!
Please bring any of the above along to the school office between Wednesday 17th and Wednesday 24th June.
We will also be giving away year group/key stage hampers as part of our raffle - please donate something you would like to win so that we can put it in the hampers.
Please bring hamper prizes to your child's classroom between Wednesday 17th and Wednesday 24th June.
We want everyone to enjoy the summer fair, so to keep costs down:
entrance is FREE!
most children's activities are 50p (or 1 token), with inflatables costing £1 (2 tokens)
we will have low cost drinks like squash (with free refills after you buy the first one), tea, coffee and fizzy drinks plus free water
families who qualify for the Mayfield Pupil Premium will be given fair tokens to spend on the day
you are welcome to bring your own food and drink
We are really looking forward to seeing lots of Mayfield families there. Please bring friends and family along too - everyone's welcome!
Children remain the responsibility of their grown ups and must be accompanied. Please collect your child from their classroom as normal and the head to the fair for the fun to start!
All the usual school rules apply - no tree climbing, no riding bikes or scooters in the school grounds, be kind to one another, and be respectful. We want the event to be safe and enjoyable for everyone.
The event is held across the outdoor areas of the school. Indoor areas are out of bounds except for designated toilets - please do not go into classrooms or other areas of the school unless directed to do so by a member of the PTA or school staff.
Lost children - please report any lost children to any member of staff or the PTA (PTA will be in yellow All Aboard t-shirts) or bring to the Lost Child point near the Bar.
Please also help us keep the site tidy - there are bins around the grounds, including recycling points. Please return any reusable cups/glasses to one of the PTA tables and we will wash them up ready for use at our next event.
All the money raised at the Summer Fair will go towards our All Aboard campaign which is raising money to enhance outdoor play and learning, boost tech provision and update the artworks around the school to reflect the fantastic community we have here at Mayfield.
Thank you for supporting the work of the PTA - we couldn't do it without you 😍
